Overview

 

Juhu is a beach-side suburb of Mumbai. Popular for the Juhu Beach, the area has been termed as the Beverly Hills of Mumbai for it is home to a large number of film stars and elite businessmen. The area opens to the Arabian Sea in the west, Vile Parle and Santa Cruz in the east, Khar towards the south and Versova towards the north.

The Juhu Beach stretches for 6 kilometres, right up till Versova.

Connectivity

The main thoroughfares of the area include the Juhu Tara Road and the Swami Vivekananda Road. The Western Express Highway is a short drive from here. The area is served by the Santa Cruz, Andheri and Vile Parle railway stations that are a part of the Western Line and Harbour Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway Network.

The Mumbai Central Railway Station is 19.4 kilometres away along the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is 5 kilometres from here via the Swami Vivekananda Road.

Real Estate

Juhu is one of the tony areas in Mumbai. The area is dotted by bungalows owned by actors and reputed businessmen. Several apartment communities are being developed here by reputed builders. The price of property in the area is higher than most other suburbs of the city.

Social Infrastructure

Juhu has well-developed social infrastructure that includes good schools, hospitals, banks and shopping zones. Reputed educational institutes of Mumbai located here include Jamnabai Narsee School, Ecole Mondiale World School, Maneckji Cooper Educational Trust School, Utpal Shanghvi School and Arya Vidya Mandir.
