Navi Mumbai covers 150 km of the total 720 km of the Konkan coast. There are totally 86 villages covering 39,400 acres within Navi Mumbai limits.
CIDCO had created 14 nodes/townships in Navi Mumbai. They are Vashi, Sanpada, Airoli, Ghansoli, Nerul, Kopar Khairane, CBD Belapur, New Panvel, Kamothe, Ulwe, Kalamboli, Dronagiri, Kharghar and Taloja. Each node is further divided into sectors.
CIDCO planned and constructed the railway stations in the city and developed the nearby areas. The Vashi bridge was opened in 1973 for the residents of Vashi, Nerul and CBD Belapur. The Sion-Panvel Expressway was built to reduce commuting time from Sion to Panvel.
The commissioning of a wholesale agricultural produce market in Vashi and building of a commuter railway line between Mankhurd and Vashi in 1992led to a very high population and economic growth.
Navi Mumbai has a vibrant industrial activity in the regions of Mahape and Taloja. The last decade has seen a steady growth of IT/ITeS sectors as well. The satellite city has seen a high growth of residential development in the last 5 years.
Demographics:
According to census data, the city has seen a huge migration of population from the Island city of Mumbai (54.6%) . It also attracts population from other suburbs of Mumbai and Maharashtra (28.9%). There is a small population from outside Maharashtra that has settled here (0.7%). According to 2011 consensus, the population in Navi Mumbai is 1,119,477 and its urban population is 18,414,288. The sex ratio in the city is 1000:831. The average literacy rate of the city is 91.57% out of which, 95.05% are males and 87.33% are females.
Employment Opportunities
Navi Mumbai has a buzzing manufacturing activity in the state owned industrial estates. The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) areas in Taloja and Mahape have several SMEs. Taloja has several companies such as Asian Paints, Exide Batteries and Asahi Glass. There are several IT/ITeS companies and software parks making their way into the satellite city such as Reliance group, Patni Computer Systems, TCS and Mastek. The next decade is expected to see a market domination by the IT/ITeS sector. Most of the employment opportunities in the city is on the stretch of the Thane-Belapur road. The areas of Airoli, Mahape, Rabale, Turbhe, Vashi, Jui nagar and Belapur are locations that have ample office spaces and have good employment opportunities.

The most important railway stations are Vashi, Belapur, Panvel and Nerul. Panvel is the only mainline station as well as the busiest railway station in Navi Mumbai. A new broad gauge line has been made functional between Panvel and Karjat. There are currently three express trains that use this line. The Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT) and Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) provide bus services throughout Navi Mumbai, Mumbai and other areas of Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). There are regular BEST AC Kinglong and NMMT AC Volvo buses running between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Navi Mumbai has the most advanced port in India: Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) in Nhava Sheva near Uran industrial area. It is well connected to roads and handle about 65% of the country’s container traffic. The Navi Mumbai International Airport is proposed in Kopra-Panvel area. This is expected to decongest the air traffic in Mumbai. The airport will be built through Public Private Partnership (PPP). The airport is expected to be completed in 2017.
Residential Market in Navi Mumbai
Navi Mumbai is primarily an industry and investor driven market. Due to rapid growth of industrial activity post 1990, it has also emerged as a favorite location for end buyers. Since 2007, 87,055 houses have been launched here. Out of them, about 65,400 units have been absorbed. The year 2010 saw the highest number of launches (approx. 28,240). However, soaring property prices put a dent on affordability post 2010. This increased the unsold inventory by 25% during the third quarter of 2012. Taking notice of this, developers have brought down the number of launches since then. Navi Mumbai witnessed few new project launches in September 2013. Developers have held back on new launches primarily due to cautious market sentiments owing to rising inflation and economic situation. Some of the localities that have witnessed this slowdown include Ulwe, Panvel, Kamothe, Kharghar, Dronagiri and Khandeshwar.

WHAT IS FIELD MARKETING? Field marketing and marketing Supplier in Versova is becoming more popular for companies in various industries. From food and beverage to consumer goods. It’s a tool that can be used to showcase latest products or services in a face to face environment with consumers. Furthermore companies recognise the importance of having brand ambassadors and reps on the ‘front line’ introducing the public to new innovations or delicious treats. This is done in the ‘field’; around shopping centers and in retail hot spots, expos and events, university campus’ and sport stadiums to name a few. Most campaign activities focus on customer facing roles including product demonstrations, direct selling and street training teams. However not all field marketing is consumer facing such as auditing and merchandising.
Goals and outcomes of field marketing will differ from company to company. Some campaigns are designed to increase brand awareness or sales. While others may be to collect data and feedback about the product and its market. At Splatter we have all the tools necessary for the clients desired outcome to be achieved WHAT A FIELD MARKETING TEAM LOOKS LIKE. For successful field marketing campaigns companies might have dedicated teams within their business whose task it is to be creative and manage field marketing initiatives. However agencies are also on hand to support a campaign. By offering staff, management and infrastructure the client can focus on the more creative aspect of the campaign.
A field marketing agency and marketing Supplier in Versova tends to work in territories operating with reps within their own regions. Often overlooked by regional or national managers depending on the scale of the team. Although territory management is more important for wide scale national distributing business, smaller brands are recognising the importance of managing promotions on a more local scale using teams to promote, audit and sell in their regions.
WHAT CAN FIELD MARKETING DO FOR YOUR BUSINESS?
1. PRODUCT DEMONSTRATIONS
As mentioned already, demo days are a popular tool of field marketing. These campaigns can stretch from as little as one week to 6 months however some are continuous and full time. For consumer goods this would mean having brand representatives in retail stores and around shopping centers, events or road shows. Finally The Brand Ambassadors are engaging with the consumer and showing them how the product or service works. This is important as it allows a potential buyer to get hands on experience and a feel of ownership of the product; most importantly the rep is also on hand to answers any questions the customer may have. Although a sell is great the main aim of a demo campaign is brand awareness.
Food and beverage take a slightly differently approach. By handing out free samples and one off deals of their product around retail and events, consumers are getting a taste of the brands latest delicious treats and at the same time everyone loves free food! Sampling is a fun activation and is effective when bringing new products to the high street. Marketing Training Learn more about product demonstrations by checking out our in depth guide here.
2. DIRECT SELLING
Much like product demonstrations these campaigns have brand reps or ambassadors at the center of them. The difference is it’s more about the selling of the product. Sales rep might have targets to adhere to. Finally these campaigns are super effective during peak times when the difference in a sale or not can be having a knowledgeable brand rep in store.
Product Demonstrations
Learn more about what direct selling is in our guide here.
3. RETAIL AUDITS AND MERCHANDISING
Auditing takes the reps out off the front line and away from the consumer. Auditing teams are used by marketers to monitor traditional marketing strategies that they put in place across retail. Most of all audits ensure that the brand is represented as it should be on shelves and around retail hot spots. Businesses are focusing on social innovation – for good
People are less brand-loyal and companies need to focus on their purpose. In the wake of economic recession and lost trust in big business, it’s the “why” that matters. Back in 2012 P&G’s former global marketing officer Jim Stengel published Grow: How Ideals Power Growth and Profit at the World’s Greatest Companies. His 10-year study conducted with WPP’s Millward Brown Optimor across 50,000 brands proved a direct correlation between brand purpose and financial performance.
2. Coherence and consistency across decision-making
Take Nestlé: its 2014 Creating Shared Value report underlines a belief that for a company to prosper long-term and create value for shareholders, it must create value for society at the same time.
In 2014, Nestlé retained equal lead ranking in Oxfam’s Behind the Brands scorecard with Unilever and was placed second in its industry globally by The Dow Jones sustainability indices. It also remains in FTSE4Good, which measures the performance of companies that meet globally-recognised corporate responsibility standards.
3. Power to the people
Help people to get by and they will survive, make them part of a joint future and they produce and thrive.
Coca-Cola’s Rain for Sale campaign shed light on the lack of clean drinking water in Lloró, Colombia. People were encouraged to collect rainwater in Coca-Cola glass bottles and sell to affluent company CEOs. As a result a water treatment plant was built in town.
Another great example, from the Fortune list: Cisco has pioneered an outsourcing collaboration between its Israel office and Palestinians with tech skills. It’s helped the West Bank’s IT outsourcing sector to grow 64% between 2010 to 2014 and has helped build the local economy.
4. Shared value is not a band-aid
It’s not a quick fix. Dove’s Campaign for Real Beauty, now 11-years-old, recently extended its aim to create a world where beauty is about confidence, not anxiety with Ad Makeover, using an app that outbids ads with negative keywords, ensuring that space would be won by messages that make women feel beautiful instead.
What’s more, companies are powering through even where there may be financial impact. In May, Emirates SkyCargo – in a move to protect wildlife – banned loading hunting trophies of lions, rhinos, elephants and tigers.
5. New technologies can accelerate the force for good
It’s well known that traditional diabetes treatments need patients to stick to a regime of medication and monitoring, demanding strict discipline and regular visits to the doctors.
Vodafone has created the technology to help launch the world’s first remote wireless glucometer, allowing people to proactively monitor their blood sugar levels.

Product-based business costs are generally higher than service-based business costs. Product-based businesses need ingredients/components, packaging, workspace, product photos; service-based businesses do not. Product-based businesses are generally more heavily regulated than service-based businesses. Shipping, returns, etc., add expenses that service-based businesses do not generally have. Generally, can get services to market faster than can get physical products to market, so speed to market is a differentiator.
HOW DO I KNOW WHETHER I SHOULD START A PRODUCT-BASED OR A SERVICE-BASED BUSINESS?
Decide what kind of life you want BEFORE you choose the type of business you want to have. Be self-aware. The type of business you start will define your lifestyle, and whether you are happy in your lifestyle will define your business. If you make the products you sell, your product-based business can make a location-independent lifestyle more challenging. Research your market thoroughly. Whether product or service, don’t offer any product in a market you have not researched.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF A PRODUCT-BASED BUSINESS?
Building a product-based brand is fun and edifying. Seeing people love your product is satisfying. A physical product can be pictured on social media, making it easier to market than a service. Building a tribe around a physical product is fun. Brand ambassadors can boost sales. Producing products allows you to explore your creative side and tell a great story. If you properly scale a product business, especially with right price and distribution, you can make tons of cash.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT PRODUCT IS BEST FOR ME TO SELL?
Sell a product people want to buy. Don’t just sell a product that’s awesome. Sell a product the market needs and wants. KEY: Don’t make a product, and then find a market for it. Find the market that wants a product, and make the product for that market. Research your market. What are the laws? Can you get supplies? What are your costs to manufacture? Who else is already doing it? Who else is making money selling similar products? Can you duplicate their processes successfully? Have enough money to make and sell the product, and a business plan to create cash flow as quickly as possible.
ONCE I KNOW WHAT PRODUCT TO SELL, WHAT DO I DO NEXT?
Establish a business structure and open a business account. Corporation? LLC? Give your business shape and form. Get Quickbooks or other tools to help you track your money. Set your mind to account for every single penny. Know exactly how much it costs to make your product, then price it to maximize your profit margin and make the most money. Join a trade organization or networking groups where you can learn, grow, and be supported in a community of like-minded peers.
HOW DO I CHOOSE A BRAND NAME FOR MY PRODUCT LINE?
Search the trademark office database (www.uspto.gov) and Google to ensure no one else is using the name you want to use. Do not use a brand name that someone else is using. Don’t infringe on someone else’s trademark. File a trademark application to register your brand name(s). You may wish to hire an attorney for this. Reserve brand name as a domain name and set up your website there. Reserve your brand name on all social media outlets, even ones you don’t plan to use. Put your branding there.
HOW DO I FIND MY TARGET MARKET?
Find your target market BEFORE you create a product. Find a hole in the market you want to serve, and create a product to fit that hole perfectly. Don’t make a square, only to discover that everyone wants to buy a circle! Narrow your market down to a specific, well-defined, narrow niche. Clarify your brand message. Be consistent and proactive. Read The Fortune Cookie Principle by Bernadette Jiwa. People do not buy products. They buy experiences. They buy you.
ONCE I NAIL DOWN MY PRODUCTS AND MY BRAND MESSAGE, AND TARGET MARKET, WHAT NEXT?
Once you have an audience, you can sell anything. Build your audience. Use social media to engage your target audience. Build your tribe by educating and entertaining. Decide whether you want to sell your products wholesale, retail, or both. Wholesale involves selling to other stores, who then sell to consumers. Retail is you selling direct to consumers. You can do both wholesale and retail, but this will increase your costs. They are two very different animals. Decide which social media outlets will be your core marketing channels. For products, Facebook and Instagram are likely best. Publish a marketing newsletter regularly, one to wholesale buyers, one to retail (consumer) purchasers. Use a blog to attract traffic via search engines and create a diary of your brand journey.
WHAT ARE THE BEST WAYS TO SELL MY PRODUCTS?
There are several ways to sell products. You can set up a website and sell direct to consumers. You can sell products inside a Facebook group, or you can use Facebook and/or Google ads to reach buyers. If you wholesale, do trade shows or use sales reps or distributors to sell to buyers. You can visit local stores that cater to your demographic, and pitch to them. You can also set up a business model that sells exclusively on Amazon or Etsy, or another online marketplace. You can open your own store, and sell your products there, or you can do popups. The kind of lifestyle you want will help you define how best to sell your products.
HOW DO I LEVERAGE MY PERSONAL BRAND TO SELL MORE PRODUCTS?
YOU are the only thing about your business that no one else can copy. People love seeing the “real you,” and learning about your life and why you do what you do. People don’t buy what you produce. They buy why you produce it. Telling your story leverages the power of you. Use the power of video to brand yourself as the leader of your business. Share your story and daily business journey. Spotlight your team members. Use www.helpareporter.com for low cost PR. Seek opportunities to be physically with your customers so they can know, like, and trust you. Document on social media.
HOW DO I LEVERAGE PERSONAL AND BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS TO SELL MORE PRODUCTS?
Personal relationships are the lifeblood, not only of your life, but also of your business. Nurture and treasure them. Seek out like-minded colleagues for joint opportunities to create new lines and sell more products. Possibly collaborate with other product producers locally at popups and other social events. Use your blog and newsletter to spotlight people you want to connect and build with. Share their links. Cheer people you want to collaborate with. Move toward their inner circle, request introductions. Don’t be shy. Make stuff happen.
HOW DO I EVOLVE AND EXPAND MY PRODUCT-BASED BUSINESS?
As you mature as a leader, and your business matures, you will see opportunities to grow and expand. It’s different for everyone. You first must know what you want to do. Do you want a global brand? Or do you want to stay local? Depending on your goals, you’ll expand or not. You can add new lines of products to grow, discontinue lines to stay small. One way to expand is to develop brand ambassadors and/or relationships with distributors who can sell more of your products. Remember that growth sucks cash, so don’t grow faster than you can handle. Some people may prefer to “stay small and keep it all.” After growing a product brand, you can start a service-based business teaching other’s how to do what you did. Stay true to your personal life goals and decide whether to expand or not based on them.

how to lead the competition through unique marketing
is very important to any business be it online or offline. You need to advertise to be able to reach your prospective customers. There are many channels so that you can market online, and then one of the very most effective channels may be the search results. If you are already in business and trying to improve, increase, make more sales or generate more revenue, the one place to look for is the CUSTOMER. Without prospective buyers or customers, there is NO SALES.
Running a business and leading the competition can be overwhelming, if you lose perspective. The proper perspective, in my opinion, is not accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost of goods sold, inventory, payroll, taxes, etc. Listen to your customer or more importantly, that lost customer. They will tell you why you got the sale or why you lost the sale.
How do I lead the competition through unique marketing or how do I find out my customer’s needs and rank higher? Internet tools available based on keyword research will tell you what customers or potential customers are searching for. The number of searches for a particular keyword is a great indicator of what your customer needs. For example, if I’m into selling promotional products, promotional keyrings, promotional USB, just do a search for the keyword “promotional products”, depending on the number of searches you can determine if your product or service is in demand for your local area. Go to Google’s keyword research tool and typing in a keyword or phrase, such as promotional products, promotional keyrings, promotional USB, you will get results for the number of searches for the previous month. Although the tool itself is free, it is based on advertising with Google Adwords, a pay per click (PPC) advertising option.
This keyword tool helps you build your search network campaign by finding keyword ideas and estimating how they perform. You simply type in any domain name into the search box and you can obtain reasonable accurate date on how much that site is spending on paid searches, whom their competitors are, and what keywords they spend the most money on. Moreover, their up sell or add on allows you to open a domain report of your competitor.
There is no limit for the efficiency achieved by business owners through unique marketing. It ties your under a set budget or the access to any information is restricted because of time and location. Business owners can enhance their productivity like never before as they can start working anytime anywhere. Whether a business needs to scale up or scale back, it can be performed very easily because mostly cloud computing is a subscription based concept. A business owner can perform scaling up or scaling back very adroitly and efficiently depending upon the business needs, goals and trends that keep on changing regularly. Remember to focus on your customer by fulfilling their needs. This requires some discipline and a little homework, but after it becomes habit, your business bottom line will thank you!

During the period where we get to interact with the client face to face we get more chance to pass across edible information which would be useful to all our customers at that time and it’s also an opportunity for us to get feedback and to gauge your opinion about our business.
Door to Door marketing and Face to Face marketing is a more effective traditional form of marketing, it’s one of the oldest forms of marketing and we use promotion as a means to drive sales to your company or business. There’s nothing more exhilarating than getting to interact with potential customers through face to face marketing and over the years customers are aware and very receptive to this marketing approach through supermarkets and public business places.
The benefit of this type of field marketing is that it can be done on a low budget, it is very cost effective and reaches a larger number of people per within a very short duration, in this short period of time where you have just a few minutes to convince the customers to take interest in your business, just a few minutes to build personal relations through five stages. It gives you the chance to build a certain level of confidence and trust with the customers, you get to break down communication barrier of communication and it gives you the opportunity to show clarity and answer any questions on the mind of the customers.
While many think that door to door marketing is getting neglected in this very era it still yields more results especially during startups of businesses, think about it. Other forms of marketing get lower results, emails get spammed, adverts go unnoticed and phone calls go unanswered so why not just take your business directly to them. It’s only through personal interaction that you get the chance to connect with the customer, you would be selling more than a product.

Door-to-door marketing is a canvassing technique that is generally used for sales, marketing, advertising, or campaigning, in which the person or persons walk from the door of one house to the door of another, trying to sell or advertise a product or service to the general public or gather information. People who use this sales approach are often called traveling salesmen, or the archaic name drummer, to “drum up” business. This technique is also sometimes called direct sales. A variant of this involves cold calling first, when another sales representative attempts to gain agreement that a salesperson should visit.
With the realization of telephone “Do Not Call” lists it is becoming increasingly more difficult to connect with consumers and business people. An emerging trend is the deployment of very professional, highly skilled door-to-door canvassers to drive product sales and brand awareness.
Coordinating, training and motivating these teams to produce results are at the very core of Fulcrum’s proven capabilities. Fulcrum has the knowledge and experience required to implement these programs, such as best days and times to canvass, who will sell the most product; male, female, young or mature and what geographics and demographics respond best to door-to-door marketing. Put Fulcrum’s experience to work for you and avoid the costly mistakes of trying to manage these programs in-house.
Hire and Train Door-to-Door Marketing Team
If you’re in charge of hiring people, that typically means that you’ve found success in Door To Door Marketing yourself. You know what it takes to be great, but now you’re stuck with an entirely new problem. How do you find others who will be just as good (if not better) and will stick around and grow into important influencers invested in the long term growth of the company? A great D2D sales company is a great recruiting company. So what does that greatness look like?
First off, you need to realize that you’re not going to hire a superstar every time. If you think you have found one, be careful. It’s not hard for someone to seem golden during one interview and you don’t want to be fooled.
Even if you think the candidate does have a lot of great experience working in the field for other companies, you have to realize that success doesn’t always translate. What worked for them at previous companies probably won’t work as well for you. In fact, their success will probably make them stubborn; after all, what reason do they have to follow your approach when they’ve figured out their own?
It’s also possible that the rep’s previous company might have had much better-developed training and selling systems than you do, and that system was the key reason they killed it. If you’re not developing a competitive system, what does that communicate about your company? The more dialed-in you are about a rep’s success, the more likely you are to attract and keep strong performers.

For example a company might pay a huge amount of money for prime advertising spot during a major sports event. However if this is the case it is important for the brand to follow up with demos in stores. If there is a brand rep placed in store the following few days after the advertising campaign the customer is more likely to come over and ask some questions about the product.
Another reason you might need field marketing is to ensure your budget has been well spent. After investing into a large scale in-store promotion campaign you want to ensure that it is implemented to the standard agreed with the retailer. Data can be collected by auditing teams and analysed to see if the money had been well spent. Furthermore it also gives opportunity for future campaigns to implemented with higher efficiency and success.

The power of your brand message is the key to driving sales
There is a proven set of criteria used to test creative effectiveness of shopper communication called the 4C’s: Command, Connect, Convey, and Close. The better the ad performs against these metrics the better the ad does in driving conversion.
The first step is to Command Attention. Shopper communication that drives sales must first engage the shopper – invite her in. The idea is to let the shopper know you’re there. It’s a conversational wave across the room, a tap on the shoulder, a shout-out in the crowded area. However this is harder than it seems. In any retail context, the shoppers are on autopilot as they navigate the store, app, or website. The goal is to catch their eye, invite their attention, and get noticed.
The Tactics: Color, Shape, Size, Texture, White Space, Placement (above the fold), Violating Space, Motion, Dynamic Imagery, Scent, Sound
The Assessment: Does it attract peripheral vision in an in-store context or leverage the online medium with movement or dynamic imagery?
Does the execution use distinctive color, shape, size, sound, etc., and engage the shopper?
There are a number of effective ways to command attention.
Size, sound, motion, texture, distinctive color, and shape all work in store because shoppers shop at retail with their peripheral vision – their minds are constantly filtering inputs and their eyes are drawn to what’s different in the environment.
In the digital screen as well as the store, the eyes are drawn to what’s different in the environment. Simple, bold images; ads above the fold; faces, motion, and disruptive visuals all help to draw interest.
Be aware in the effort to gain attention to not go overboard and create disruption for its own sake. Elicit positive interest for the retailer at the POS to achieve a favorable shopper experience. Retailers prefer an invite vs. screaming at their shoppers.
Does it matter to shoppers? Yes! Below is an example of what happens when a brand enhances Command.

A variant of this involves cold calling first, when another sales representative attempts to gain agreement that a salesperson should visit.

how to lead the competition through unique marketing
is very important to any business be it online or offline.
