Digital Marketing Requires Planning

Marketing and advertising inevitably require some lead time but too often businesses don’t plan ahead. For marketing dollars to be well spent some preparation is required before implementation. It is important to plan far enough ahead to establish objectives, determine processes for execution, decide who the responsible parties will be and then follow through. It’s expensive when these steps are not taken. Some marketing campaigns take more lead time than others. If a lot of different tasks performed by different specialists are involved, the requirements for planning expand.  Fewer moving parts are less cumbersome to implement. Websites In most cases, marketing begins with the website. New web pages are relatively easy to add. Using a content management system, web pages only require a facilitator. Email Despite the emphasis on other channels, email marketing continues to be a staple for most businesses. Three quarters of all companies surveyed in 2011 said that email provides an excellent or good return on their investment. And email marketing  programs like MailChimp, Constant Contact and others help you create professional looking emails and also determine your effectiveness through analytics. Direct Mail Direct mail marketing can be extremely effective for retail stores and local service providers because it is memorable and can be well targeted. New programs and processes have made direct mail quite valuable in converting prospects but a good campaign requires a month or more before delivery. Before a piece can be in the recipient’s hands copywriting, images, design, research and mailing are all required. You can learn more about direct mail on a previous post . Social Media Assisting connections between people and collective sharing of information, social media includes short posts, blogs, video, and interactive forums. Social media requires knowledge of the technologies required and the time to maintain the campaign. Unfortunately, what started out looking like a magic bullet requires some lead time after all. It is most effective with an editorial calendar and whenever a campaign is established it must be sustained. Pay-Per-Click To use the online advertising channel called PPC, you need to determine the keywords that your best prospects will use to search for you. With PPC, when the potential client uses that search term they will see an ad for you. If your ad is enticing they will be drawn to click through to your website and hopefully will decide to buy. The best news is that you only pay for the advertisement when someone chooses to click on it and you can establish a budget before you start. Once you have spent your limit, your ads are no longer available. Planning? You must determine what the relevant keywords are and what content you need in your ad. For some businesses, PPC is a great marketing channel. Banner Advertising Banners include images but work like Pay-Per-Click. Well done, adding images will increase their effectiveness, but it also adds to the time and costs. Radio In some industries, radio is spectacularly successful as a marketing channel. Having more spots is most effective . The lead time required is minimal, especially with a smaller or more tightly targeted market. Make sure which format that will attract your best prospects by checking the demographics and then write the copy carefully. Television TV has the advantage of being both visual and auditory, but it is also more expensive than radio. The reach is even more fragmented and the costs are usually higher than radio because it requires sound and video. Writing, presentation, and talent all count so production takes time. In some industries and markets it is very effective, however. Events and Sponsorships It seems obvious that there are a lot of moving parts in producing an event. The easiest way to do an event is to let someone else manage all the production aspects and be the provider of the branding and hosting. Since the venue, decorations, advertising, registrations, financial management, traffic flow, refreshments, lighting, entertainment, parking, communications, staffing, etc. will all need to be handled, putting on an event always takes time. Sponsoring an event is much less difficult. Finding the right relationships to leverage and then using them to improve your visibility and sales can be done reasonably quickly. In Short The key to successful marketing is planning ahead. Start your marketing campaigns in advance to put all the pieces together.

Door-to-door marketing is a canvassing technique that is generally used for sales, marketing, advertising, or campaigning, in which the person or persons walk from the door of one house to the door of another, trying to sell or advertise a product or service to the general public or gather information. People who use this sales approach are often called traveling salesmen, or the archaic name drummer, to “drum up” business. This technique is also sometimes called direct sales. A variant of this involves cold calling first, when another sales representative attempts to gain agreement that a salesperson should visit.

With the realization of telephone “Do Not Call” lists it is becoming increasingly more difficult to connect with consumers and business people. An emerging trend is the deployment of very professional, highly skilled door-to-door canvassers to drive product sales and brand awareness.

Coordinating, training and motivating these teams to produce results are at the very core of Fulcrum’s proven capabilities. Fulcrum has the knowledge and experience required to implement these programs, such as best days and times to canvass, who will sell the most product; male, female, young or mature and what geographics and demographics respond best to door-to-door marketing. Put Fulcrum’s experience to work for you and avoid the costly mistakes of trying to manage these programs in-house.

Hire and Train Door-to-Door Marketing Team

If you’re in charge of hiring people, that typically means that you’ve found success in Door To Door Marketing yourself. You know what it takes to be great, but now you’re stuck with an entirely new problem. How do you find others who will be just as good (if not better) and will stick around and grow into important influencers invested in the long term growth of the company? A great D2D sales company is a great recruiting company. So what does that greatness look like?

First off, you need to realize that you’re not going to hire a superstar every time. If you think you have found one, be careful. It’s not hard for someone to seem golden during one interview and you don’t want to be fooled.

Even if you think the candidate does have a lot of great experience working in the field for other companies, you have to realize that success doesn’t always translate. What worked for them at previous companies probably won’t work as well for you. In fact, their success will probably make them stubborn; after all, what reason do they have to follow your approach when they’ve figured out their own?

It’s also possible that the rep’s previous company might have had much better-developed training and selling systems than you do, and that system was the key reason they killed it. If you’re not developing a competitive system, what does that communicate about your company? The more dialed-in you are about a rep’s success, the more likely you are to attract and keep strong performers.

Marketing spending

[siteorigin_widget class="SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget"][/siteorigin_widget]

Marketing spending is an organization’s total expenditure on marketing activities. This typically includes advertising and non-price promotion. It sometimes includes sales force spending and may also include price promotions. In a survey of nearly 200 senior marketing managers, 52 percent responded that they found the “marketing spending” metric very useful. To predict how selling costs change with sales, a firm must distinguish between fixed selling costs and variable selling costs. Recognizing the difference between fixed and variable selling costs can help firms account for the relative risks associated with alternative sales strategies. In general, strategies that incur variable selling costs are less risky because variable selling costs will remain lower in the event that sales fail to meet expectations.

Purpose

This metric’s purpose is to forecast marketing spending and assess budgeting risk. Marketing costs are often a major part of a firm’s overall discretionary expenditures. As such, they are important determinants of short-term profits. Of course, marketing and selling budgets can also be viewed as investments in acquiring and maintaining customers. From either perspective, however, it is useful to distinguish between fixed marketing costs and variable marketing costs. That is, managers must recognize which marketing costs will hold steady, and which will change with sales. Generally, this classification will require a “line-item by line-item” review of the entire marketing budget.

Rather than varying with unit sales, total variable selling costs are more likely to vary directly with the monetary value of the units sold – that is, with revenue. Thus, it is more likely that variable selling costs will be expressed as a percentage of revenue, rather than a certain monetary amount per unit. The classification of selling costs as fixed or variable will depend on an organization’s structure and on the specific decisions of management. A number of items, however, typically fall into one category or the other – with the proviso that their status as fixed or variable can be time specific. In the long run, all costs eventually become variable

Over typical planning periods of a quarter or a year, fixed marketing costs might include
  • Sales force salaries and support.
  • Major advertising campaigns, including production costs.
  • Marketing staff.
  • Sales promotion material, such as point-of-purchase sales aids, coupon production, and distribution costs.
  • Cooperative advertising allowances based on prior-period sales.
Variable marketing costs might include:
  • Sales commissions paid to sales force, brokers or manufacturer representatives.
  • Sales bonuses contingent on reaching sales goals.
  • Off-invoice and performance allowances to trade, which are tied to current volume.
  • Early payment terms (if included in sales promotion budgets).
  • Coupon face-value payments and rebates, including processing fees.
  • Bill-backs for local campaigns (a bill-back requires customers to submit proof of performance to receive payment or credit whereas an off-invoice are simply deducted from invoice totals). These are conducted by retailers but reimbursed by national brand and cooperative advertising allowances, based on current period sales.
Marketers often do not consider their budgets in fixed and variable terms, but they can derive at least two benefits by doing so.

First, if marketing spending is in fact variable, then budgeting in this way is more accurate. Some marketers budget a fixed amount and then face an end-of-period discrepancy or “variance” if sales miss their declared targets. By contrast, a flexible budget – that is, one that takes account of its genuinely variable components – will reflect actual results, regardless of where sales end up. Second, the short-term risks associated with fixed marketing costs are greater than those associated with variable marketing costs. If marketers expect revenues to be sensitive to factors outside their control – such as competitive actions or production shortages – they can reduce risk by including more variable and less fixed spending in their budgets.

A classic decision that hinges on fixed marketing costs versus variable marketing costs is the choice between engaging third-party contract sales representatives versus an in-house sales force. Hiring a salaried – or predominantly salaried – sales force entails more risk than the alternative because salaries must be paid even if the firm fails to achieve its revenue targets. By contrast, when a firm uses third-party brokers to sell its goods on commission, its selling costs decline when sales targets are not me.

It’s a tool that can be used to showcase latest products or services in a face to face environment with consumers. Furthermore companies recognise the importance of having brand ambassadors and reps on the ‘front line’ introducing the public to new innovations or delicious treats. This is done in the ‘field’; around shopping centers and in retail hot spots, expos and events, university campus’ and sport stadiums to name a few. Most campaign activities focus on customer facing roles including product demonstrations, direct selling and street training teams. However not all field marketing is consumer facing such as auditing and merchandising. Goals and outcomes of field marketing will differ from company to company. Some campaigns are designed to increase brand awareness or sales. While others may be to collect data and feedback about the product and its market. At Splatter we have all the tools necessary for the clients desired outcome to be achieved WHAT A FIELD MARKETING TEAM LOOKS LIKE. A field marketing agency and  marketing Professional in Chikuwadi tends to work in territories operating with reps within their own regions. Often overlooked by regional or national managers depending on the scale of the team. Although territory management is more important for wide scale national distributing business, smaller brands are recognising the importance of managing promotions on a more local scale using teams to promote, audit and sell in their regions.

WHAT CAN FIELD MARKETING DO FOR YOUR BUSINESS?

1. PRODUCT DEMONSTRATIONS

As mentioned already, demo days are a popular tool of field marketing. These campaigns can stretch from as little as one week to 6 months however some are continuous and full time. For consumer goods this would mean having brand representatives in retail stores and around shopping centers, events or road shows. Finally The Brand Ambassadors are engaging with the consumer and showing them how the product or service works. This is important as it allows a potential buyer to get hands on experience and a feel of ownership of the product; most importantly the rep is also on hand to answers any questions the customer may have. Although a sell is great the main aim of a demo campaign is brand awareness. Food and beverage take a slightly differently approach. By handing out free samples and one off deals of their product around retail and events, consumers are getting a taste of the brands latest delicious treats and at the same time everyone loves free food! Sampling is a fun activation and is effective when bringing new products to the high street. Marketing Training Learn more about product demonstrations by checking out our in depth guide here.

2. DIRECT SELLING

Much like product demonstrations these campaigns have brand reps or ambassadors at the center of them. The difference is it’s more about the selling of the product. Sales rep might have targets to adhere to. Finally these campaigns are super effective during peak times when the difference in a sale or not can be having a knowledgeable brand rep in store. Product Demonstrations Learn more about what direct selling is in our guide here.

3. RETAIL AUDITS AND MERCHANDISING

Auditing takes the reps out off the front line and away from the consumer. Auditing teams are used by marketers to monitor traditional marketing strategies that they put in place across retail. Most of all audits ensure that the brand is represented as it should be on shelves and around retail hot spots. Examples are; checking POS is as it should be across the territories, promotions advertised and running and paid spaces such as gondolas are set up. The data collected from the teams can be useful for the marketers to negotiate better future deals. In addition it also allows for mistakes to be rectified there and then by the reps. Splatter offer a live system that can be monitored by the client in real team meaning that red flags in the field can be dealt with instantaneously .Store Audits and Merchandising To learn more about Audits and merchandising view our guide here.

Branding

Several generations ago, clever marketers put together a composite of traits designed to appeal to housewives who liked to bake cakes and cookies. Then they created a persona – Betty Crocker – who exemplified those traits, put Betty’s image on the boxes of baked products made by General Mills — and created a sales phenomenon that has endured for decades.Years later, when superstar Michael Jordan joined the Chicago Bulls basketball team in the early 1990s, it was his name that enabled the little-known team to become renowned around the globe.

Today, brands – which are what both Betty Crocker and Michael Jordan are to their respective franchises – are a critical sales tool. We are now inundated with brands within brands. United Airlines, for example, promotes its “Friendly Skies” by plugging the Starbucks coffee that it serves on its flights. For today’s entrepreneurs, personalizing a name can spell runaway success or an embarrassing flop, depending upon whether or not the name catches on.At Lillian Vernon Corporation, the company I founded a half century ago, when it wasn’t common for women to be in business, we fully understand the name game. It has made all of the difference, enabling us to get valuable publicity, move more smoothly into new product lines, and deftly weather the inevitable storms that buffet all retailers from time to time.

[siteorigin_widget class="SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget"][/siteorigin_widget]

The Lillian Vernon brand has always been more than just a name, although I never realized this back in 1951, when I sat down at my yellow formica kitchen table in Mt. Vernon, New York and designed a small advertisement for a monogrammed pocketbook and belt that I placed in Seventeen magazine. To my surprise, the orders began pouring in, and my company was launched.I had my particular form of branding, which could be dubbed “personality branding.”

Unlike Betty Crocker, to whom I am occasionally compared, I am a real person. Unlike Michael Jordan, I was about to build my company’s brand on more than just a name. As a young housewife and mother back then, I was using my identity to appeal to my female customers who were similar to me.In today’s competitive direct-marketing industry –- and Lillian Vernon was one of the country’s first cataloguers -– a strong brand identity is one of the keys to success. In the past half century, the number of catalogs has topped 10,000 from just 25 when I began. All are clamoring for the attention of today’s increasingly busy consumer.

Direct retailers like L.L. Bean appeal to their niche by selling mostly their own branded merchandise. Others like Spiegel and Kmart take the department-store approach, offering branded merchandise from a number of manufacturers.Within this universe, Lillian Vernon stands apart. Although we offer a variety of branded products, we mostly sell merchandise made to our specifications by small manufacturers around the world. The uniqueness of our products helps generate sales. But the manufacturers we work with don’t have any brand identity of their own, so our company has had to create one.I have had to forge – indeed, become one with – the brand that I desired for my company.

[siteorigin_widget class="SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget"][/siteorigin_widget]

That Lillian Vernon the company would assume the identity of Lillian Vernon the person was perhaps inevitable, regardless of my intentions. In the early days, as a young housewife and mother, I was selling to similar women who saw me as a role model. I alone carried the company banner: selecting the products, writing the catalog copy, filling the orders and answering the mail. When we published our first catalog, I decided to use my given name, “Lillian.” I added “Vernon,” the name of my hometown, figuring it would be easy for customers to remember. I later had my surname changed legally. Fast forward a few decades, to a dinner in 1976 with a magazine editor, who suggested I write a note to my customers and include my picture in the front of my catalogues. So Lillian Vernon became more than just a name, it had morphed into a personality.Add the values by which I live and that I have incorporated into my company, and there’s a transition from personality to complete identity.

My values that have become indigenous to Lillian Vernon include the four that I have dubbed our “pillars.” We work to ensure customers a broad selection of unique products. We price our products for value: our average item lists for $28.50, and few cost more than $100.From the beginning, we have offered free personalization, a service that is now considered a Lillian Vernon hallmark. We offer an ironclad, 100% money-back guarantee. I once refunded money for a set of stoneware dishes that had been purchased 20 years earlier and hadn’t even been opened! In my messages in each of our catalogs, I stress that I am my customer’s personal shopper, even though I have a team of buyers scouring the globe. I encourage customers to e-mail me, and I see to it that each is answered. I want customers to know and relate to me as an individual, and to understand that my company is a reflection of myself.

[siteorigin_widget class="SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget"][/siteorigin_widget]

As the Lillian Vernon brand evolved, becoming fully integrated with the personality of its founder, our company has enjoyed widespread name recognition and increases in sales, as well as an array of other advantages. More than 45 million Americans are familiar with the Lillian Vernon brand, and we receive 4.4 orders annually.Chief among the advantages has been the amount of publicity we receive. Our name frequently appears in articles and on TV shows. Made-in-heaven PR coups have included mentions on shows, such as David Letterman and Conan O’Brien. Former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton even told a group of leading businesswomen that from my picture on our catalogs, she felt she knew me long before we actually met.

When we extend a product line, our strong brand built upon the foundation of my personality enables us to move into new arenas. In 1990, for example, when we introduced our Lilly’s Kids catalog featuring children’s products, the catalog was a success from the start because of the credibility of the brand. Finally, during tough times, our brand helps anchor the company, as we chart new directions amid the winds of change. Our push into online retailing in 1995 was easier and quicker than it would have been because of our strong brand recognition.

[siteorigin_widget class="SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget"][/siteorigin_widget]

From the beginning, even as I personally shopped for merchandise and filled orders from my kitchen table, many customers didn’t realize that I actually existed. On our Web site, one FAQ is: “Is Lillian Vernon a Real Person?” When I secured a contract with Revlon that was our first big break in the business-to-business marketplace, Chief Executive Charles Revson was surprised to discover a flesh-and-blood woman running our company. He probably thought I was a concept launched by some high-priced marketer — a la Betty Crocker.

Person into persona, individual into image: with the evolution of our brand now complete, it is easy to understand why such mix-ups occur. But the good thing about being a real person who has become one with a brand identity isn’t only its potential to spur company growth, but also that the values upon which the company is built are actual human values.Move over, Betty. The name that lies at the core of the constructed identity will last longer than the person whose name it is, thus belonging forever to the company.

Customize Your Loyalty Program For Your Specific Customers

[siteorigin_widget class="SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget"][/siteorigin_widget]

Article Highlights:

  • Loyalty looks different for automakers, since those customers typically make purchases once every few years.
  • When customers see a luxury product is on sale, they often assume it’s fake.
  • Take your time building programs that are most beneficial to your specific set of customers instead of worrying about what everyone else is doing.

Automakers, for example, only see customers when it’s time to renew a lease, while luxury retailers are tasked with finding marketing solutions without devaluing their products. Brands facing these conditions may assume that loyalty programs aren’t for them, but these misconceptions can be dispelled with customized solutions that companies with low margins, irregular purchases, and extravagant lines can adopt.

Auto: Loyalty With Irregular Purchases

While big-box retailers often see customers several times a month, loyalty looks different for automakers, since those customers typically make purchases once every few years. While the buy-one-get-one model doesn’t apply here, automakers can engage loyal customers through exclusive memberships, granting them access to the latest industry news and auto-related services.

Eager to reimagine the relationship between automaker and consumer, Ford is gearing up to launch its FordPass service this spring. FordPass operates like a concierge service for Ford owners and non-owners alike, granting members 24/7 access to representatives who can reserve parking and access car- and ride-sharing services, streamlining travel logistics.

As part of its push toward more comprehensive offerings, Ford is developing a virtual wallet that can be used for these services. Users can also earn rewards points for doing everything from signing up for FordPass to leveraging its individual component features. By offering these valuable auxiliary features, Ford remains top of mind among new and long-term customers, making it easier to engage shoppers when they’re ready for a new set of wheels.

Luxury: Loyalty While Maintaining Value

Quality aside, high-end products are set apart from other marketplace offerings by their name–and price. Loyalty is challenging for these retailers because consumers are willing and sometimes eager to pay for the exclusivity of a name brand.

Offering a 20% discount off a Louis Vuitton bag discounts its value; in fact, when customers see a luxury product is on sale, they often assume it’s fake. However, attempting to garner customer love with discounts isn’t a sustainable model for fostering authentic consumer relationships and long-term loyalty.

Luxury shoppers in particular crave access and exclusivity, so loyalty should come in the form of special previews or private in-store events or contests. One idea is to invite fans to upload selfies with their purchases to Instagram with branded hashtags for a chance to be featured on the company’s account.

Last March, in a creative twist, Christian Louboutin invited followers to download and print tribal-themed finger puppets and upload their creations to Instagram with the hashtag #Tribaloubi for a chance to be featured on the brand’s social channels. In addition to this campaign, Louboutin regularly shares pictures of fans with its productions. Sharing these images shows an appreciation for customers, bolstering both social engagement and brand loyalty.

Price Savers: Loyalty And Low Margins

On the opposite end of the spectrum, many big-box retailers pride themselves on offering shoppers the lowest prices in market. Under those circumstances, an additional discount wouldn’t make sense for consumers already expecting the cheapest offer (and may even cut into an already thin profit margin).

In lieu of a traditional loyalty program, Walmart rolled out its Savings Catcher app, encouraging customers to scan their receipts to compare Walmart’s prices against its competitors. If a shopper spent $300 on a TV in Walmart but the same model is on sale elsewhere for $275, Savings Catcher makes up the difference in the form of a $25 Walmart gift card. Such an initiative ties back to who Walmart is as a brand–an advocate of everyday low pricing–and demonstrates its determination to offer fans only the best prices.

Long-Tail Loyalty: Brands Breaking The Mold

While countless brands reward fans for checking into stores, using branded hashtags, and making purchases, others are looking to break the mold, steering away from traditional programs with creative alternatives.

Back in December, Taco Bell rolled out Explore, a loyalty game that sits within its app and rewards users for sharing experiences that have nothing to do with Taco Bell. Rather than rewarding users for promoting its brand, Taco Bell credits fans who enjoy life’s small moments, like hanging out with friends or attending a concert put on by a favorite band, tying back to their mission to “Live Mas.”

Users who share content on various social sharing sites can unlock puzzle pieces, as do those who order using the app. Participants who complete the first puzzle get a free Freeze drink, while those who complete additional puzzles can receive an assortment of prizes, including $100 gift cards, a reserved booth at a Taco Bell restaurant, or a trip to Taco Bell’s California headquarters. Since Explore is based in Taco Bell’s app, it’s seen an uptick of mobile orders since the game’s release, with more consumers coming back into the app than ever before.

Loyalty On A Budget

With big-name brands like Ford, Walmart, and Taco Bell getting in on the loyalty game, many smaller brands assume these programs aren’t for them because they can’t afford the same big budgets. Instead of breaking the bank, smaller brands should consider creating chance-to-win campaigns in which spending can be pre-set and wrap them in loyalty or gamification mechanics so that they don’t feel like they are doing a sweepstakes.

It’s important to remember that great programs take time to build up. Loyalty works best when brands approach with a crawl-walk-run mindset. Take your time building programs that are most beneficial to your specific set of customers instead of worrying about what everyone else is doing.

No matter what type of solution you decide to choose, keep in mind that loyalty programs are a living, breathing, evolving initiative. You’ll find value in testing efforts, learning from them, and continuing on. Brands that incorporate loyalty throughout every stage of the path to purchase can successfully reach customers across their journeys and create relationships that are truly memorable.

[siteorigin_widget class="SiteOrigin_Widget_Image_Widget"][/siteorigin_widget]

Becoming Marketing Active: The Fulcrum Guide to Getting Started with Business Marketing –  In the first part of our guide to becoming marketing active house to house Marketing Recruiters in navi mumbai, we looked at some of the reasons that drive a business to start marketing (if you missed part one, check it out here). But once you’ve made the decision to embark on a marketing strategy for your business, what next? Where do you start and what steps should you take to ensure a smooth and successful process? As is so often the case in business (and life!), preparation is key. So before rushing into any kind of marketing, it’s important to take the time to plan, research and strategise for success. In order to create an effective marketing strategy, you need to develop a thorough understanding of your market, your competitors and your business itself. This means getting back to basics and equipping yourself with all the information you need to identify marketing activities that work for your brand. 1) Research your target market How much do you know about the target audience of your product or service? We’re not just talking about age, sex or occupation (though, of course, you need to know these too). To have the best chance of reaching your target market, you need to dig deeper and find out exactly what drives them towards purchase. What kind of triggers are they most likely to respond to? Which elements of the marketing mix have the most impact on them? How will your product or service benefit them? Understanding these aspects of your target audience will enable you to position and market your brand accordingly, so comprehensive market research is essential. It’s often easier (and more cost-effective) to outsource this type of research to a professional agency who will be better placed to obtain the information you need. 2) Analyse your competition In order to stay ahead of your competitors, you need to know who they are, what they’re doing and how they’re doing it. Once you’ve identified who your key business competitors are, look into the marketing methods they’re using and the way in which they have positioned their brand. What channels and platforms have they chosen to market their business? How are they promoting their brand and its products/services? Consider which elements are crucial to your own business and how you can position your brand in order to get ahead. 3) Define your objectives What do you want to achieve from your marketing activity? Whether it’s to increase your revenue, establish your business in a new market segment or improve brand awareness, setting clear, measurable marketing objectives is vital in understanding what steps need to be taken in order to achieve these goals. Make sure that each identified objective is specific (how much do you want to increase revenue by?), achievable (is it realistic?) and has a timeframe for accomplishment (are you aiming to achieve this goal in three months or a year?). You also need to make sure that your marketing objectives tie in with your overall business objectives. 4) Understand your business You may think you have a pretty good understanding of your business, but it’s surprising what insights can be achieved when you conduct a thorough SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats). Be rigorous, be meticulous, and above all be brutally honest. Is a lack of staff training letting your business down? Are your prices too high to compete in today’s market? Arming yourself with this knowledge is invaluable in developing a marketing strategy that leverages your company’s strengths and addresses those areas which need to be improved. In the next instalment of the Fulcrum guide to becoming marketing active, we’ll be looking at the raft of marketing channels available and helping you to identify which ones are best for your business.

Door To Door Marketing

Face to Face Marketing and Door to Door Marketing

Nothing beats the reality that one gets when you can interact with potential clients face to face physically moving from door to door within a community or household to household, face to face field marketing is also called personal selling or door to door marketing, customers are met directly in order to sell their products, using this method of field marketing we rely on our skills and persuasive abilities. During the period where we get to interact with the client face to face we get more chance to pass across edible information which would be useful to all our customers at that time and it’s also an opportunity for us to get feedback and to gauge your opinion about our business.

Door to Door marketing and Face to Face marketing is a more effective traditional form of marketing, it’s one of the oldest forms of marketing and we use promotion as a means to drive sales to your company or business. There’s nothing more exhilarating than getting to interact with potential customers through face to face marketing and over the years customers are aware and very receptive to this marketing approach through supermarkets and public business places.

The benefit of this type of field marketing is that it can be done on a low budget, it is very cost effective and reaches a larger number of people per within a very short duration, in this short period of time where you have just a few minutes to convince the customers to take interest in your business, just a few minutes to build personal relations through five stages. By attention, interest, desire, conviction and action.  And what else do you benefit by using face to face marketing service?

It gives you the chance to build a certain level of confidence and trust with the customers, you get to break down communication barrier of communication and it gives you the opportunity to show clarity and answer any questions on the mind of the customers.

While many think that door to door marketing is getting neglected in this very era it still yields more results especially during startups of businesses, think about it. Other forms of marketing get lower results, emails get spammed, adverts go unnoticed and phone calls go unanswered so why not just take your business directly to them. It’s only through personal interaction that you get the chance to connect with the customer, you would be selling more than a product.

You would be selling your zeal, emotions and passion

We offer a wide range of marketing services to business of different functions in India, startup businesses are not left out and we cut across all methods of marketing services, with Door to Door marketing service we assist you our clients with reaching your target customers, our services which extends to all parts of India and we target customers who are ready to change their local services to yours. [siteorigin_widget class="SiteOrigin_Widget_Image_Widget"][/siteorigin_widget]

Becoming Marketing Active: The Fulcrum Guide to Getting Started with Business Marketing –  In the first part of our guide to becoming marketing active B 2 B Marketing organizations in navi mumbai, we looked at some of the reasons that drive a business to start marketing (if you missed part one, check it out here). Food for thought! 8 ways the farmers market can make you a better experience designer

[siteorigin_widget class="SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget"][/siteorigin_widget]
  1. How are visitors being educated before arrival? Explaining to consumers what specific words and concepts they might encounter would make for better conversations and decision making.
  2. What can the natural behaviors of consumers, those happening before, during and after shopping, teach us about designing a market? Studying the habits of consumers can shed more light on the context in which an event is happening.
  3. How might market designers listen to customers’ buying beliefs or priorities? Designing signage that call out specific attributes of a product can help consumers shop easier and faster.
  4. How do you introduce someone to a new food or product they have never heard of? Set up tasting stations that give people an idea of what the product is and how they might prepare it. Turning a ‘Huh?’ into ‘Yum!
  5. What help or tools are given to time-strapped shoppers?  Allow your visitors to design a game plan. Developing an itinerary makes navigating your event simple and straightforward.
  6. What sounds and smells could be used to calm and slow down the process of shopping?Perhaps a classical band playing Mozart while lavender wafts through the air would offer relief to over burdened, stressed out attendees.
  7. What can market designers learn from digital tools?  What can one learn from Postmates, Uber, or Instagram about how to design an event?
  8. How can customers remember and reflect on what they bought?  Allow people to recall their attendance and use that data to allow for better decisions and new and fun discoveries.
