It is also the largest planned city in the world. The main purpose for building the city was to decongest the city of Mumbai.

Navi Mumbai covers 150 km of the total 720 km of the Konkan coast. There are totally 86 villages covering 39,400 acres within Navi Mumbai limits.
CIDCO had created 14 nodes/townships in Navi Mumbai. They are Vashi, Sanpada, Airoli, Ghansoli, Nerul, Kopar Khairane, CBD Belapur, New Panvel, Kamothe, Ulwe, Kalamboli, Dronagiri, Kharghar and Taloja. Each node is further divided into sectors.
CIDCO planned and constructed the railway stations in the city and developed the nearby areas. The Vashi bridge was opened in 1973 for the residents of Vashi, Nerul and CBD Belapur. The Sion-Panvel Expressway was built to reduce commuting time from Sion to Panvel.
The commissioning of a wholesale agricultural produce market in Vashi and building of a commuter railway line between Mankhurd and Vashi in 1992led to a very high population and economic growth.
Navi Mumbai has a vibrant industrial activity in the regions of Mahape and Taloja. The last decade has seen a steady growth of IT/ITeS sectors as well. The satellite city has seen a high growth of residential development in the last 5 years.
Demographics:
According to census data, the city has seen a huge migration of population from the Island city of Mumbai (54.6%) . It also attracts population from other suburbs of Mumbai and Maharashtra (28.9%). There is a small population from outside Maharashtra that has settled here (0.7%). According to 2011 consensus, the population in Navi Mumbai is 1,119,477 and its urban population is 18,414,288. The sex ratio in the city is 1000:831. The average literacy rate of the city is 91.57% out of which, 95.05% are males and 87.33% are females.
Employment Opportunities
Navi Mumbai has a buzzing manufacturing activity in the state owned industrial estates. The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) areas in Taloja and Mahape have several SMEs. Taloja has several companies such as Asian Paints, Exide Batteries and Asahi Glass. There are several IT/ITeS companies and software parks making their way into the satellite city such as Reliance group, Patni Computer Systems, TCS and Mastek. The next decade is expected to see a market domination by the IT/ITeS sector. Most of the employment opportunities in the city is on the stretch of the Thane-Belapur road. The areas of Airoli, Mahape, Rabale, Turbhe, Vashi, Jui nagar and Belapur are locations that have ample office spaces and have good employment opportunities.
Connectivity
The Mumbai suburban railway is the most prominent mode of public transport in Navi Mumbai. This connects most regions of Navi Mumbai to the main city of Mumbai and Thane. The most important railway stations are Vashi, Belapur, Panvel and Nerul. Panvel is the only mainline station as well as the busiest railway station in Navi Mumbai. A new broad gauge line has been made functional between Panvel and Karjat. There are currently three express trains that use this line. The Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT) and Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) provide bus services throughout Navi Mumbai, Mumbai and other areas of Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). There are regular BEST AC Kinglong and NMMT AC Volvo buses running between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Navi Mumbai has the most advanced port in India: Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) in Nhava Sheva near Uran industrial area. It is well connected to roads and handle about 65% of the country’s container traffic. The Navi Mumbai International Airport is proposed in Kopra-Panvel area. This is expected to decongest the air traffic in Mumbai. The airport will be built through Public Private Partnership (PPP). The airport is expected to be completed in 2017.
Residential Market in Navi Mumbai
Navi Mumbai is primarily an industry and investor driven market. Due to rapid growth of industrial activity post 1990, it has also emerged as a favorite location for end buyers. Since 2007, 87,055 houses have been launched here. Out of them, about 65,400 units have been absorbed. The year 2010 saw the highest number of launches (approx. 28,240). However, soaring property prices put a dent on affordability post 2010. This increased the unsold inventory by 25% during the third quarter of 2012. Taking notice of this, developers have brought down the number of launches since then. Navi Mumbai witnessed few new project launches in September 2013. Developers have held back on new launches primarily due to cautious market sentiments owing to rising inflation and economic situation. Some of the localities that have witnessed this slowdown include Ulwe, Panvel, Kamothe, Kharghar, Dronagiri and Khandeshwar.

Pimple Saudagar , Pune
The locality of Pimple Saudagar is located in the urban agglomeration Pimpri Chinchwad in the city of Pune. This place is most popular for being a residential area with adequate commercialisation. There are a lot of apartments, row houses, and independent houses in this locality, accompanied by a friendly neighbourhood. Its mostly populated with the IT crowd because of its close proximity to Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park. Pimple Saudagar has Hinjewadi to its west, Aundh to the south, Sangvi to its east, and Pimpri to its north. Its proximity to Hinjewadi makes it an ideal residential choice for the working class people. In the locality, one will typically find good roads, supermarkets, malls, branded stores, restaurants, eating joints, gyms, and so much more! The localitys atmosphere is very chirpy, with a lot of greenery, making it an ideal place for anyone who prefers a quiet energy in a locality. Plus, as far as kids are concerned, a lot of primary and pre-primary schools are present there, many of which are affiliated to the Maharashtra state board. Several schools in neighbouring areas are also affiliated to national boards of CBSE and ICSE. Families with kids, therefore, would prefer to stay here. Some of the key Residential Projects at Pimple Saudagar are Nisarg Nirman, Shubhashree Woods, Sai Platinum, Silver Mist, Sai Ambience among others.
Connectivity and transit points
Pune Airport is at a distance of just 19 km from Pimple Saudagar. The nearest railway station is the Khadki Railway Station, which is about 7 km from here. The main railway station, Pune Junction is about 13 km away.
Auto-rickshaws, cabs, buses, and shared auto systems (tam-tams) are ideal for covering short distances. Public buses are run by PMPML (Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited), and are quite frequent. Although bus fares are really cheap, most people resort to using two-wheelers here.
The main transit points in Pimple Saudagar are Jagtap Dairy, Shivar Garden, Shiv Sai Road, Shiv Mandir, Swaraj Garden, Kate Vasti, Rakshak Chowk, Rajvir Society and Poonam Society. These sub-areas are dotted with bus stops.

Factors for growth in the past Because it was located on the outskirts of the city, Pimple Saudagar was not always in the limelight. It was a village, and under-developed for a long time. The residents were poor peasants and farmers involving themselves in agriculture and wood carving. Public services were not good in these parts either. But thanks to the industrialisation of Pune, the city expanded rapidly in the late 1990s, spreading itself to areas like Pimple Saudagar. Accessibility to the Mumbai-Pune Expressway via the Katraj-Dehu Bypass Road in 2001, was a major factor responsible for the development that followed in Pimple Saudagar. Later, with the construction of IT parks and other office spaces in Hinjewadi, this locality saw a lot of residential activity with a large influx of property investment. The fact that Pimple Saudagar remained unpolluted and preserved its greenery to a large extent also contributed to its facelift. A fair number of workforce work in nearby IT Hubs, wanted to have their residences close to their workplace. As a result, apartments for sale in Pimple Saudagar is still affordable compared to its neighouring localities.
Factors for growth in the future Anyone looking to buy property in Pune is thinking outskirts these days, mostly because the realty market in the city is nearing saturation. Pimple Saudagar certainly counts as an option for such people. There are plenty of land spaces available here for cheaper rates in comparison to the city. Moreover, the growing residential area in Pimple Saudagar is attracting more and more people to relocate here. A number of developers are expected to initiate new housing projects to suit the size of everyones pockets. Plenty of infrastructure development is also being witnessed in the area. Malls and tall buildings are being constructed, new roads are being built, old roads are being widened, rapid bus transit system is being put into place, and more commercial centres are being established.
Residential trends in Pimple Saudagar The residential property in Pimple Saudagar is heavily in demand. The vacant land pockets are quickly being filled up with high-rise apartments. New projects and townships are being undertaken. The multi-storeyed apartments in in Pimple Saudagar are now being sold for around Rs 6,600 per sq. ft. on average, and being rented for Rs 14 per sq. ft. Whereas residential houses are available for sale at about Rs 7,900 per sq. ft, one would have to pay around Rs 13 per sq. ft. to take a house on rent.
Major challenges Though Pimple Saudagar is situated on flat land, and has the Pavana River flowing to its north, which is a major water source, the area is lately facing some water scarcity. Shortage of water has been noticed in many residential areas here, mostly owing to the increasing population. Since the auto drivers in this area dont run by the meter and instead charge unreasonable amounts of money, most residents have resorted to buying their own vehicles. This has led to an increase in traffic and pollution in the region.

Emerging online and offline communication channels continue to give brands new opportunities to connect with and engage their target audiences. As such, brands are increasingly challenged to embrace an omnichannel approach—even during events and experiential activations. This is critical to effectively communicate a brand story during all stages of the buyers’ journey.
But with so many channels, how can brands maintain consistency to deliver a holistic experience, heighten visibility and motivate action?
Take a humanized approach.
As humans, we make decisions based on two modes of thinking: our rational mind and our emotional mind. While our rational minds may demand the hard data and facts to justify action, our emotional minds can easily overrule our decision-making process. Moreover, live events and experiences provide an ideal platform for brands to speak to both the rational and emotional minds of buyers. If your brand story marries both of these perspectives, it connects with the audience on a human level and inspires them to take action.

For a memorable example, look no further than men’s grooming brand Old Spice. In 2006, the 80-year-old company saw upstart Axe beginning to steal market share. Confident in its product, Old Spice quickly identified its message as the problem. Within months, Old Spice had retooled its message on the back of hilariously memorable ads and YouTube videos. The company’s blunt message and creative delivery resonated with consumers, who increased purchases of a product they’d previously overlooked.
Turning back to B2B, we believe the same lesson applies: taking creative risks for a stronger message can pay off. Let’s take a page from the Old Spice playbook and better connect with our prospects and customers.
Don’t reinvent the wheel… just what you call it
Many of us enter our office doors each day confident in our product or service. But there’s always the risk of losing market share – even to an inferior product. A new message allows you to retool your marketing arsenal while keeping your product intact.
A good message must explain what you do and why you do it better than anyone else; ideally it will also build an emotional connection with your target market. The message communicates who you are and what your values are, which becomes even more important when you consider this: according to Harvard Business Review, 64 percent of people cite shared values as the main reason they have a relationship with a brand.
A new message can help you build that emotional connection without pressing the reset button on product initiatives. But before you pick up the pen, research is called for.
Look at your message from the outside-in
Market research and persona analysis go a long way in ensuring you’re on the right track with your message. Even then, you have to be sure your message works. Take the draft and ask some current customers, and a few key prospects, what they think of it. It’s tempting to skip this step – especially if time and budget are limited – but there are ways to make the testing process quick and efficient.
For a message to truly resonate, it needs to be authentic and it needs to connect. And there’s no way to know this without testing it with prospects. Even if you love it, if your prospects don’t, it’s back to the drawing board.
Take back the monopoly on creativity
As a B2B marketer, it’s easy to latch onto the same buzzwords time and again. Agility… security… flexibility, and so on. All too often the result is a safe, predictable, stale message that falls flat – especially compared to the creativity we see in B2C.
