Want to Get Loaded?
If you like music, you probably have an iPod.
If youre like us, you probably dont have a lot on it. All our best stuff is on CDs. But when you write a chart-topping blog every other day, you dont have time to sit down and transfer your greatest hits from your discs to your MP3 player.
So what do you do? If you live in New York or Fort Worth (Fort Worth?), you call Catherine Keane. In 2004, Keane started a business called HungryPod. Shell take all your CDs and put them on your iPod for you.
It costs $1.75 for each CD. If you dont want to cart your CDs to Keane, shell come pick them up for a small fee. In four days or less, shell put all the music on your MP3 player (it doesnt have to be an iPod) and deliver it back to you, with your CD collection intact.
Sick of your CDs? Keane also does consulting. The ex-radio-station intern will add music from artists based on your tastes for $25 per hour and 99 cents per song. She even has playlist suggestions, like Lost 80s and Gym.
She says she has yet to receive a complaint.
Trust us: If we were her customers and she put Lost 80s on our iPod, shed get a complaint.
