1 toner cartridge = 1 gallon of oil
I had absolutely no idea that it took almost a gallon of oil to make one, single, toner cartridge, until I read Keep Ink Cartridges Out Of Trash Bins, in the Alameda Sun. Think about how many printers, photocopies and fax machines are in your office; then think about how many times each year you run out of ink; then multiply that by all the offices across the country. Do you know what you get? You get 350 million empty cartridges hitting the landfill, every single year.
Thats right 350 million.
Next time you run out of ink, dont call up Office Depot for a new one; find a place where you can refill the one you already have.
